До 4-го курса Иняз (КазГУМОиМЯ в последствии) по направлению МО, но с 4-го курса по 5-ый заканчивал Казахском Техническом Университете по специальности системы базы данных и библиотек. Причина перевода в другой университет была вызвана перестроечным временем середины 90-х когда все преподователи иняза предпочли переводческую деятельность в частных фирмах.
